Bai Xiaohu leads a team to check the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Project undertaken by MCC Construction Engineering

On June 26, Bai Xiaohu, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of China MCC, led a team to check the construction project of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University Project undertaken by MCC Construction Engineering and conducted an on-site research.

   

Bai Xiaohu went to the construction site to check the progress of the project construction and learn about the project's construction schedule, quality and safety management, and cost control. Regarding the difficulties encountered during the project construction, he pointed out that projects are the foundation of the development of construction enterprises and the source of profits. The problems of the Project Department cannot be solved only at the project level. It is necessary to effectively give play to the role of the "slim frontend, robust backend" mechanism, fully mobilize the functional departments of the two-level authorities for systematic governance, and provide effective support for the implementation of the project. 


Bai Xiaohu presided over a meeting at the project site, at which he listened to MCC Construction Engineering's reports on market development, project performance, and the implementation of the Engineering Project Management Manual. He affirmed the production and operation of MCC Construction Engineering and put forward requirements for its development in the next stage. He emphasized that: First, firmly establish a sense of quality performance. Guided by the Engineering Project Management Manual, we should continuously strengthen project management and achieve a virtuous cycle of market expansion through perfect project performance. Second, firmly establish a sense of accounting-based operation. The Project Department is the smallest Amoeba unit, so we should focus on responsibility cost and negative list, take eliminating loss items as a basic starting point, and gradually improve profitability. Third, build a learning-oriented Project Department. Starting from studying a contract, analyzing a list, understanding a set of drawings, and solving a problem, we should persist in calm thinking and frequent review, so that the team can better grow in practice. Fourth, build a collaborative organization and strengthen team building, especially by cultivating leadership to do a good job in project leadership. Fifth, comprehensively pay attention to work safety. Taking the Work Safety Month as an opportunity, we should strengthen the awareness of work safety, deepen the investigation and rectification of hidden dangers, promote the implementation of the full-staff responsibility system, and effectively consolidate the safety defense line. Meanwhile, as the hot summer weather approaches, we should make solid efforts to ensure flood prevention and heatstroke prevention and cooling.
