On October 15, Zhang Mengxing, China MCC President and Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of MCC and China MCC, met with Xia Xin, Secretary of the CPC Committee of Dongli District of Tianjin Municipality, and his party in Tianjin. During the meeting, they had an in-depth and friendly discussion on deepening government-enterprise cooperation and strengthening cooperation in municipal infrastructure construction, comprehensive urban development and other fields.
Zhang Mengxing started by thanking the CPC Committee and the People's Government of Dongli District for their long-term support for MCC and its subsidiaries in Tianjin, expressed his high recognition of the achievements made by Dongli District in high-quality development, and then gave a brief introduction to MCC's history and development. He noted that over the past years, MCC has worked to maximize its full industrial chain covering survey, design, construction, operation and maintenance, adhere to the strategic positioning of "becoming a national team of metallurgical construction, a main force of infrastructure construction and a leader of emerging industries and identifying a high-tech, high-quality development path", keep abreast of national policy requirements and speed up transformation and upgrading, and thus has made remarkable achievements in municipal infrastructure construction, comprehensive urban development, theme park, ecological environmental protection, prefabricated construction and other fields. Despite the challenges brought by COVID-19 in the first half of this year, MCC achieved growth, and many indicators such as operating income, gross profit and net profit hit an all-time high.
According to Zhang Mengxing, MCC has always seen Tianjin as its main strategic market, and located many MCC subsidiaries in Tianjin which have provided support for Tianjin's development. So far, MCC has invested quite many representative projects in Tianjin with the total investment and contract amount reaching 80 billion yuan. Next, MCC will continue to utilize its strengths in broad presence, strong expertise and abundant experience to deepen strategic cooperation with Tianjin, especially Dongli District, play a comprehensive role in the construction of Dongli District's municipal infrastructure and industrial parks, and make new and greater contributions to local high-quality social and economic development with concrete and strong measures and achievements.
Xia Xin extended his warm welcome to Zhang Mengxing and his party, and thanked MCC for its contributions to Dongli District's economic and social development in the past years, and briefly introduced Dongli District's economic and social development progress. He pointed out that Dongli District enjoys a prime geographical location, convenient transportation, sound urbanization foundation, and promising development prospects. Over the past years, by virtue of Tianjin's advantages in airport and seaport and as an international shipping hub, Dongli District has consolidated its existing industrial foundation and made positive strategic reforms towards "one district with multiple parks", thereby making constant progress in all kinds of economic growth indicators. Xia Xin hoped that as stable progress is made in current projects, MCC and Dongli District will together deepen cooperation and exchange, explore new cooperation models and expand cooperation space. In the meanwhile, the CPC Committee and the People's Government of Dongli District will provide support in higher-quality services and better business environment for the development of MCC and its subsidiaries in Tianjin.
