On October 21st, Zhang Mengxing, the Deputy Secretary of CPC of China MCC and President of China MCC, met with Li Minggang, Chinese Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kuwait in the headquarters of MCC in Beijing.
Zhang Mengxing expressed gratitude to the Chinese embassy in Kuwait for its strong support to MCC, and pointed out that MCC, as one of the earliest central enterprises to "go global", has business in 57 countries and regions around the world, with more than 150 overseas institutions, and projects under construction in 32 countries along “he Belt and Road” In the process of going global, we feel warm, energized and confident with the backing of our home country and embassies. Kuwait is one of the overseas markets MCC attaches great importance to. MCC has established regional branches in Kuwait to take charge of business here. At present, MCC is carrying out a number of major Kuwaiti government projects. Moreover, it has completed the construction of a university town and many other projects, which were highly praised by Kuwaiti government and related owners. That being so, MCC appears to be a good image and a reliable brand in Kuwait and is one of the large international enterprises in Kuwait for its construction. Kuwait is facing a golden opportunity for development. We hope that the Chinese embassy in Kuwait will continue to support the development of MCC in Kuwait and introduce MCC to governments at all levels in Kuwait. MCC will continue to make even greater contributions than before to the affiliation between China and Kuwait.
Li Minggang said that Kuwait, once a pearl of the Middle East, is in a period of great development and desires to cooperate with China. MCC group has strong strength and innovative spirit. It is unique in the field of metallurgical construction and is in the lead in the technology of capital construction and emerging industries. After the visit of MCC's exhibition hall, we learned about MCC's glorious history and its unique spirit of simplicity and profoundness, which is worthy of admiration. In Kuwait, we have won the trust and recognition of the local government and people by the major projects we have completed successfully. We hope MCC could give full play to its advantages, strive to learn and adapt to local culture, laws and regulations, local policies, etc., seize the opportunity of Kuwait's great development, further open up the market, and manage well the projects under construction.
