On the afternoon of December 7th, MCC Group & MCC Party Committee and MCC Vice-President Wang Shilei met Dongguan Municipal Party Committee Secretary and the Standing Committee of Municipal People’s Congress Director Lyu Yesheng in Dongguan. Both sides conducted communication and connection regarding the development and construction of Dongguan’s Binhaiwan New District, and reached an agreement on follow-up cooperation, accelerating the implementation of major cooperative projects and jointly constructing a modern ecological city.
Wang Shilei highly praised Dongguan City’s achievements in transformation development and introduced the MCC Group’s historical course and new strategic positioning of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term’. He then pointed out that MCC Group has reached a record high in all economic indexes, made remarkable achievements in high-end building construction, urban underground comprehensive pipe galleries, beautiful villages and smart cities, sewage treatment, prefabricated buildings and other fields, and constructed the Asian Games stadium, National University Games stadium, Shenzhen Qianhai municipal infrastructure and other representative projects. As a large-scale central enterprise, the MCC Group possesses powerful science and technology research, development and innovation ability, as well as over 20 national scientific research platforms and national key laboratories. It has also ranked fourth among central enterprises for 4 consecutive years in scientific research ability, and become an expert in solving urban comprehensive problems. Wang Shilei then reviewed MCC’s many sound strategic cooperation experiences with Guangdong Provincial Government, pointing out that Dongguan is an important coastal city with swift and fierce economic development momentum and a superior location. He hopes to establish a friendly and trusting cooperation relationship with Dongguan, conduct deep cooperation in many fields, give full play to MCC’s technology and capital advantages, and make more contributions to the construction and development of Binhaiwan New District.
Lyu Yesheng pointed out that Dongguan City is an important foreign trade port of Guangdong. In 2016, its gross production value reached RMB 682.8 billion and it ranked in the top 20 for national urban comprehensive strength and fourth in export trade. In recent years, Dongguan has adhered to innovation-driven development, speeded up its optimization of the transformation and upgrading of the economic and industrial structure, paid close attention to technological innovation and the introduction of talents, and become a scientific technology innovation city from a traditional ‘world factory’. As the last coastal land in Dongguan, Binhaiwan New District has a superior location and land consolidation. It is the core area for Dongguan to integrate into the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The MCC Group is warmly welcomed to give full play to its strength and successful experience, participate in the investment and construction of Binhaiwan New District, and achieve win-win cooperation.
After the meeting, relevant Dongguan Municipal Party Committee department leaders accompanied Wang Shilei on a visit to the Dongguan Exhibition Hall.
