On September 1st, MCC President Zhang Mengxing met Tianjin Dongli District Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Kong Dechang. Both sides deeply exchanged opinions on further reinforcing cooperation on theme parks, funds, urban infrastructure, rail transit, the headquarters base and other fields.
Zhang Mengxing first briefly introduced the MCC Group’s historical development and basic information, pointing out that MCC possesses strong scientific and technical research and development and technological innovative ability. It has 53,000 scientific research technicians, 20 national-level scientific research platforms and national key laboratories, and over 18,000 effective patents, ranking fourth among central enterprises for four consecutive years. One of the central enterprises with the most successful transformation performance, it is now devoted to being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of infrastructure construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term’. Urban infrastructure, rail transit, high-end housing construction, underground comprehensive pipe galleries, theme parks, sewage treatment, waste incineration power generation, etc. have become its main business sectors and advantageous fields. MCC has successfully completed many major projects at home and abroad, established nine technical research institutes in underground comprehensive pipe galleries, beautiful village & smart city technology, sponge city technology, water affairs, fabricated buildings and so on, as well as China’s first professional pipe gallery company and first RMB 100 billion urban comprehensive pipe gallery industry fund, and become an expert in solving urban comprehensive problems. As the only enterprise in China to hold the theme park design and construction qualification, the MCC Group has established strategic partnerships with DWA, Lego and 21st Century Fox, and successfully completed Universal Studios Singapore, Shanghai Disney Resort, Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and many other super large-scale cultural theme parks. It is currently constructing Nanjing Dragon’s Nest, Huaian Journey to the West Theme Park, Indonesia MNC and other projects. MCC has also successfully set foot in the environmental protection field; its sewage treatment capacity reaches 4 million t/d and it has successfully designed China’s first waste incineration power plant and designed, constructed and operated many waste incineration power stations domestically.
Zhang Mengxing added that Dongli District of Tianjin City has convenient traffic conditions, obvious regional advantages and broad development prospects. The MCC Group has a profound friendship with Dongli District. He hopes that both parties will strengthen their cooperation in the District’s development, theme parks, underground comprehensive pipe galleries, rail transit, beautiful villages and other fields. MCC will give full play to its own advantages and complete projects with the fastest rate and highest quality. He hopes that Dongli District will support MCC’s development as always.
Kong Dechang briefly introduced the development situation of Dongli District, pointing out that it enjoys a good geographical location, good ecological environment, rich education and medical treatment resources, and good development prospects. Dongli District and MCC have maintained a positive cooperation relationship for many years. He hopes that the MCC Group will positively participate in the development and construction of Dongli District in various fields. The District Committee and Government will strongly support MCC’s development in Dongli. Both parties will strengthen their communication and exchange, and further deepen their cooperation in such fields as development, funds, finance, characteristic towns and so on.
