On May 18th, MCC Vice President Wang Shilei attended the Guizhou Province Housing and Urban-Rural Construction Domain Investment Promotion Meeting, and gained an in-depth understanding of Guizhou’s relevant plans for 2017. The meeting was also attended by MCC Assistant General Manager (President) Zeng Jianzhong and MCC Guizhou Company Chairman Tian Zhixing.
2017 is a key year for Guizhou to concurrently hold the bottom line, advance along a new road and strive to prosper. In order to obtain victory in the decisive battle of alleviating poverty relief, Guizhou will insist on the ‘three arrow volleys’ of the overall planning and advancement of cities, towns and villages, the reinforcement of urban planning and construction management, and the deep promotion of the new-type urbanization construction of Guizhou's mountainous areas, thereby accelerating the process of making up for Guizhou's urban infrastructure shortcomings. Such municipal infrastructure construction as underground comprehensive pipe galleries and sponge city technology has been the key work of Guizhou's urban-rural construction domain, including urban renovation and ecological restoration work, urban shantytown transformation, new-type construction and building material development, characteristic small cities and towns construction, urban complex construction and operation, rural per capita environment improvement, protection and usage of scenic spots, protection and development of traditional villages and so on, presenting such features as a broad investment requirement range, high funding demands and numerous category requirements.
Meanwhile, Guizhou has actively created its investment environment and opened the gate to social capital through its ‘Negative List, Positive List and Service List’. In the field of municipal infrastructure, PPP models have been widely applied in industries including urban water supply, sewage treatment, garbage disposal and parking facilities. The investment promotion project introduction and marketing event kicked off more than 800 projects with an investment space of RMB 630 billion.
