On March 31st, a delegation led by MCC Deputy General Manager Xu Xiangchun paid a visit to the leading body of the Jiangsu Provincial Construction Group. Both sides held a meeting and exchanged views on enhancing their strategic cooperation.
Deputy General Manager Xu Xiangchun first introduced the basic information of MCC, pointing out that the new Minmetals Corporation devotes itself to creating a metallic ore enterprise group which is ‘First in China and first-class in the world’ following the strategic recombination of MCC and Minmetals. In recent years, MCC has actively practiced its strategic positioning of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term’, succeeded in transforming into non-steel fields, obtained enviable performance in such fields as high-end housing construction, underground comprehensive pipe galleries, smart city, beautiful village & sponge city technology and theme parks, and completed numerous large-scale projects in emerging industries. Particularly in the field of theme parks, MCC is the only enterprise in China to hold the theme park design and construction qualification. It has succeeded in finishing many super large-scale cultural theme parks including Universal Studios Singapore, Shanghai Disney Resort and Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom, and such projects as Zhenjiang Danyang Theme Park and Universal Studios Beijing are soon to be implemented. Jiangsu is a powerful province in construction, possessing a large number of well-known strong construction enterprises. MCC is willing to establish strategic cooperation partnership relations with the Jiangsu Provincial Construction Group. He hopes that both parties will accelerate their connection, reinforce their exchange and cooperation, advance the implementation of the relevant work as soon as possible, strengthen their business synergy, and realize a favorable pattern of complimentary advantages, mutual benefits and win-win results.
Jiangsu Provincial Construction Group Chairman Chen Zhenghua welcomed Deputy General Manager Xu Xiangchun, then pointed out that MCC is a large-scale central enterprise with abundant market network resources and brand advantages as the world’s largest and strongest metallurgical engineering construction contractor and metallurgical enterprise operation service provider. Particularly in recent years, its transformation and development have been very successful and generated powerful development momentum. The Jiangsu Provincial Construction Group attaches importance to its strategic cooperation with MCC. He hopes that both parties will further reinforce their connection and communication, raise the level of their strategic cooperation, expand their cooperation space, give full play to each other's advantages, maintain good cooperation relations as always and form a new development situation of harmony and win-win results on the basis of cooperation on the Saudi Arabia Infrastructure Project.
At the meeting, both sides also conducted exchanges on issues of common concern, including specialty towns and the elderly healthcare industry.
The meeting was attended by such related personnel as Jiangsu Provincial Construction Group President Qiu Tianqing, Jiangsu Provincial Construction Group Executive Vice President Jiang Ning and MCC Investment Management Division Deputy Director Jiang Baoren.
