In the afternoon of February 21st, despite the snow, MCC Vice President Qu Yang visited the Hohhot Municipal Government to meet Hohhot Municipal Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Li Jiexiang. Both parties talked in a friendly atmosphere and exchanged their opinions on further strengthening the cooperation between the two parties.
Qu Yang thanked Li Jiexiang for his warm reception and introduced the basic situation of MCC and the main performance of the whole Group in 2016 in detail. He said that as the biggest and strongest metallurgical project construction contractor and metallurgical enterprise operation service provider, the MCC Group ranked 290th among the top 500 enterprises. In recent years, MCC has implemented the strategy of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of infrastructure construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term'. It is actively transforming and stably developing, becoming one of the most successful central enterprises after its successful transformation. In recent years, MCC has paid close attention to the market exploitation of Inner Mongolia. MCC is willing to make further use of its advantages in design, construction, scientific research, operation and capital to help Hohhot upgrade and develop, and make greater contributions to its economic and social development.
Li Jiexiang welcomed Qu Yang and his party and briefly introduced the basic situation of Hohhot. The city plans to commence several important infrastructure projects in 2017 including highways, railways, aviation and information. The construction of Horinger New District will help the new Hohhot to realize the strategic goal of ‘starting within one year, shaping up within three years, upgrading within five years and making a great leap forward within ten years’, which will make Hohhot the best place in modern Inner Mongolia. Li Jiexiang thought highly of the Hohhot projects undertaken by the MCC Group. He hopes that MCC will give further play to its advantages in talents, technologies, management and capital, fully participate in the economic construction of Hohhot and make greater contributions to the development of the city. Hohhot Deputy Mayor Sai Qingke carefully introduced the important infrastructure construction contents and basic situation of Hohhot in 2017.
