On November 17th, MCC General Manager, Party Committee Secretary and Deputy Chairman Zhang Zhaoxiang met Luanping County Party Committee Secretary Cai Fuhao in Luanping, Hebei. Both sides conducted talks in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, and exchanged opinions on enhancing wide cooperation in such fields as municipal infrastructure, highway traffic, high-end housing construction, health recuperation and so on.
Zhang Zhaoxiang briefly introduced the basic information and strategic recombination of China Minmetals and MCC. After MCC and China Minmetals succeeded in implementing their strategic recombination, the new China Minmetals is striving to forge a world first-class metallic ore enterprise group possessing all-round industrial chain core competencies. At present, China Minmetals is one of the three central enterprises holding the full range of financial licenses, and it has strong investment and financing capacity. Zhang Zhaoxiang pointed out that MCC has succeeded in transforming from the steel metallurgy field to non-steel fields and has taken being 'the national team of metallurgy construction, the main force of infrastructure construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term' as its new strategic positioning. In 2016, MCC's contract amount of non-steel fields accounted for nearly 90%. MCC has achieved a wide margin of increase in its contract amount in such fields as municipal traffic infrastructure construction, high-end housing construction, environmental engineering, new energy and so on, and has established a leading status in the industry by achieving significant breakthroughs in such emerging industries as underground comprehensive pipe galleries, beautiful village & smart city and sponge city technology, and specialty themed projects. By creating such leaders as MCC Real Estate, MCC's real estate business has made the brand bigger and stronger, moulded a batch of high-end project brands which are very popular in the market, and gained favorable economic benefits and public praise for its brands. Zhang Zhaoxiang hopes that both sides will further deepen their cooperation; MCC will give full play to its own advantages in design, construction, technologies, funds and so on to contribute to the social and economic development of Luanping County.
Cai Fuhao gave a warm welcome to General Manager Zhang Zhaoxiang before pointing out that Luanping lies in the corridor between Beijing and Chengde, an area with a rich and profound historical and cultural background. Royal imperial road cultures with distinct regional characteristics meet here, forming the Great Wall culture, Mandarin culture and Shanrong culture. It is the collection region of the received pronunciation of Chinese Mandarin. Moreover, the ecological environment of Luanping is graceful and its tourism resources are plentiful. The Luan River and Chao River stem from and flow through Luanping, and its forest coverage rate reaches 65% in the county. With a forest region of 1,000,000m2, Baicaowa National Forest Park is an important water source and a natural ecological barrier for Beijing and Tianjin. By virtue of its prominent natural landscape, Jinshanling has become a concentrated region of the ecological tourism industry. Facing the new situation and opportunity of the synergetic development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region becoming a national strategy, Luanping County positively creates favourable conditions to forge a connection platform for the industries of Beijing and Tianjin. At present, Luanping County is divided into five functional zones to carry out the regional development strategy of 'four zones and one centre', and strongly advance industrial transformation and upgrading. Dong Fuhao said that he greatly welcomed such powerful central enterprises as MCC to invest and build in Luanping. The County Party Committee and Government will provide all-round services for MCC's development in Luanping.
