On November 2nd, China Minmetals General Manager and MCC Group President & Party Secretary Guo Wenqing met Zhuhai Municipal Committee Secretary Guo Yuanqiang and Zhuhai Mayor Zheng Renhao. They held talks in a cordial and friendly atmosphere, and reached an agreement concerning comprehensive and in-depth cooperation in municipal infrastructure, highway transportation, high-end housing, area development, theme parks, scientific and technological innovation, international trade & logistics and so on.
Guo Wenqing expressed his gratitude for the warm reception of the Zhuhai Municipal Government and its years of great support for the MCC Group, and pointed out that MCC has built such beautiful city buildings as Hengqin Island and the Shizimen Central Business District by virtue of its noble spiritual pursuits, firm ideals and faith, accountability, and greatly promoted popularity, influence and competitiveness in Zhuhai, thereby achieving a win-win situation for both parties and establishing a deep and brotherly friendship. The MCC Group and China Minmetals recently achieved a strategic recombination, and integrated all the industries, and is currently striving to build a first-class metal minerals enterprise. Following the recombination, China Minmetals has assets of over RMB 75 billion, and its resource allocation, investment and financing abilities are greatly improved. One of only three central enterprises holding all financial licenses, the recombined China Minmetals is able to engage in banking, security, trust, insurance, finance leasing and so on; it is also one of the only enterprises taking real estate as its major business, as approved by the State Council SASAC. Its two real estate enterprises, the MCC Real Estate Group and China Minmetals Real Estate Group, enjoy high brand awareness; they have developed many real estate projects at home with strong science and technology R&D capability, and they own 29 national-level R&D centers and national key laboratories.
Guo Wenqing stressed that New China Minmetals will join Zhuhai in engaging in broader cooperation with brighter prospects. He hopes that the Zhuhai Municipal Government will speed up its existing cooperation projects and provide new and bigger platforms. As a result, New China Minmetals and the MCC Group will give full play to their own advantages, grasp new development opportunities in Zhuhai, conduct in-depth development in Zhuhai, actively participate in the exploitation, construction, trade and logistics of municipal infrastructure, highway transportation, high-end housing, area development, comprehensive pipe galleries and theme parks, and continue to make more contributions to the economic and social development of Zhuhai.
Guo Yuanqiang warmly welcomed Guo Wenqing to Zhuhai, expressed his gratitude for the MCC Group’s contributions to Zhuhai, gave his congratulations for the strategic combination between MCC and China Minmetals, and briefly introduced the economic and social development situation of Zhuhai. He made a point of saying, 'Remember to be Thankful'. MCC has made outstanding contributions to the development and construction of Zhuhai, especially Hengqin Island, and the Zhuhai Municipal Government and Zhuhai people have always been thankful. Zhuhai people are very impressed by MCC’s abundant strength, credibility, responsibility, insistence on quality and forward-looking strategic insight, making it one of the central enterprises preferred by the governments at all levels in Zhuhai.
Guo Yuanqiang pointed out that with the opening of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau bridges, great national support, and acceleration of industrialization and urbanization, Zhuhai will obtain new development opportunities. After the strategic recombination between MCC and China Minmetals, their industry integration and resource allocation abilities are greatly improved. The Zhuhai Municipal Government will provide great support as usual, and provide such major projects for the MCC Group as expressways, theme parks and area development. He hopes they will engage in further comprehensive cooperation in science and technology innovation, international trade and logistics, finance and so on.
In Zhuhai, Guo Wenqing had a deep discussion with Huafa Group Chairman Li Guangning. He also visited MCC's Port Building and Hengqin Headquarters Building to investigate and guide the work, conducted communication with the on-site employees, expressed his appreciation for the workers holding to their posts on the production line, thanked them for their contributions to the Group's development, and encouraged them to adhere to the spirit of working hard, be 'brave enough to create, strict enough to manage and careful enough to construct', build excellent projects and improve China MCC’s brand image and influence in Zhuhai.
