In the afternoon of October 9th, MCC Vice President and MCC International President Zhang Mengxing met Singapore ACG Golding Company CEO Dato’ Seri Hong Riqian, Vietnam Qiafeng Limited Company CEO Ji Yongbin and Singapore ACG Holding Company Business Development Director Kuang Weijian and their delegations at the MCC Headquarters. All parties held an in-depth discussion on the planned ACG CITY Urban Complex Project located in Vietnam Haiphong OUR CITY, carried out in-depth an exchange concerning multi-field cooperation on real estate construction, and reached an agreement.
First, Zhang Mengxing extended a warm welcome to his guests and briefly introduced the overall situation of the Group, pointing out that MCC is a super-large and multi-field transnational group which possesses 13 subsidiaries with Grade A qualifications in scientific research and design, 16 national scientific innovation platforms and national key laboratories, and 23 engineering construction general contract qualifications (special class). It was ranked 290th in the Global Fortune 500 in 2016 and 8th in the Global Contractor Top 500 issued by ENR. The MCC Group is the world’s largest metallurgical construction contractor and steel enterprise operation service provider, successively taking on over 90% of the planning, exploration, design and construction of large and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises in China, and over 60% in the world. As an expert in solving overall urban construction planning, MCC can provide a whole industrial chain covering exploration, design, construction and supervision. High-end housing construction, transportation, municipal infrastructure and high-and-middle-end real estate have become MCC's main businesses, in which the Group has successfully developed a series of projects at home and abroad.
Zhang Mengxing also pointed out that Vietnam is a country with a key position for the MCC Group along the 'One Belt and One Road' route. MCC entered the Vietnam market in the 1990s, set up an MCC representative office and MCC Vietnam subsidiaries in the country, and authorized MCC International to take charge of managing and operating its engineering businesses in Vietnam.
Zhang Mengxing pointed out that the Vietnam Haiphong ACG CITY project is well-placed geographically and has a huge market. MCC International will represent the MCC Group in fully supporting the project, giving full play to MCC’s design and construction advantages, and providing high-quality engineering construction services, thereby making it a model of cooperation.
Hong Riqian briefly introduced the situation of ACG CITY, gave full affirmation to the strength and support of the MCC Group, and expressed his full confidence in and expectations for the success of future cooperation. Ji Yongbin briefly introduced the overall situation of the OUR CITY Project, and expressed his hope that both sides will strengthen their cooperation so as to create win-win cooperation opportunities in the Vietnam market.
After that, both sides held in-depth technology and business discussions about the ACG CITY Project, and came to an agreement on the subsequent work plan.
