On July 6th, China Minmetals Corporation Deputy General Manager, MCC Group General Manager and China MCC President Zhang Zhaoxiang met with Deputy Mayor of Tianjin Zhao Haishan at MCC’s Headquarters in Beijing. Both parties deeply exchanged opinions on further enhancing cooperation in such fields as material and equipment procurement for overseas projects, logistics, finance and so on.

Zhang Zhaoxiang welcomed Deputy Mayor Zhao Haishan and his delegation to MCC and expressed his sincere gratitude to the Tianjin Municipal Party Committee and Government for their great support of the MCC Group and its subsidiaries in Tianjin. He then briefly introduced the general situation of the Group, pointing out that MCC has enlarged its development in overseas markets in recent years. Especially following the strategic recombination with the China Minmetals Corporation, by taking advantage of China Minmetals’ wide global network and resources, the overseas markets of the MCC Group will experience greater and faster development, and the cooperation space between MCC and Tianjin City will expand. He hopes that Tianjin City will make the most of its policy advantages and give great support in such fields as material and equipment procurement for overseas projects, logistics, finance, etc.

Zhao Haishan thanked the leaders of MCC for their warm reception and expressed his gratitude for MCC’s contributions to Tianjin’s development. He then briefly introduced the 'going-out' advantages of enterprises in the Tianjin Special Free Trade Area, pointing out that, as the State’s bridge tower for overseas investment and rear support base for overseas projects, Tianjin will provide such large SOEs as MCC with services including customs clearance, equipment procurement, finance and more. He hopes that both parties will enhance their communication and exchange, make the most of Tianjin’s advantages in location and policy, and further enhance their cooperation.
