On June 24th, General Manager of the China Minmetals Corporation and MCC Group President & Party Committee Secretary Guo Wenqing met with Deputy Director of the Tianjin Free Trade Experimental Zone Management Committee and Binhai New Area District Committee, and Director of the Binhai New Area Central Business District Management Committee Zheng Weiming and others at MCC’s Headquarters in Beijing, where they discussed issues surrounding proposed cooperation projects and conducted further negotiation.

Guo Wenqing warmly welcomed Director Zheng Weiming and his delegation to MCC. He then pointed out that, after the implementation of the strategic recombination of the China Minmetals Corporation and the MCC Group, two Fortune 500 enterprises with more than RMB 700 billion in total assets, they will form a 'super aircraft carrier' in the metal and mineral fields. At present, MCC regards becoming the 'national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries' as its new strategic positioning, and has made great achievements in traffic and municipal infrastructure, high-end housing construction, medium and high-end real estate, urban underground pipe galleries, characteristic theme parks and other fields. Especially in the field of real estate construction, MCC is the main high-end construction brand by virtue of its high speed, high quality and rich experience, with successful cases in Tianjin, Beijing, Nanjing and elsewhere. He added that Tianjin Binhai New Area is located in the eastern coastal area and the center of the Bohai Sea economic circle, giving it a superior geographical position. After implementing the strategic recombination of the China Minmetals Corporation and the MCC Group, both sides have more abundant strength, and will continue to make efforts to land projects and contribute to the development of Binhai New Area.

Zheng Weiming thanked President Guo Wenqing for his warm reception and him congratulated on the strategic recombination of the China Minmetals Corporation and the MCC Group He then pointed out that Tianjin Binhai New Area is the core area of the Tianjin Free Trade Experimental Zone, its port has an obvious geographical location advantage and significant related finance, revenue, trade and other innovative preferential policies, and it is focused on building a modern service industry based on financial innovation. At present, Binhai New Area has a large area of land yet to be developed, and he hopes MCC will engage in investment and construction in Xiangluo Bay, Yujiabao and other places, and deepen cooperation between both parties in the financial sector and other fields through the Tianjin Free Trade Zone. Binhai New Area will provide multidirectional high-quality services for the local development of the China Minmetals Corporation and the MCC Group.
