On May 24th, MCC General Manager and President Zhang Zhaoxiang and his delegation attended the signing ceremony of a strategic cooperation framework agreement between MCC Huatian and the Shenzhen Water Group in Shenzhen. He also investigated, surveyed and guided the work of the Shenzhen MCC Pipe Gallery Company.
In the morning of May 24th, under the common witness of Zhang Zhaoxiang and Shenzhen Municipal Party Standing Committee Member and Executive Deputy Mayor Zhang Hu, MCC Huatian President Kang Chengye and Shenzhen Water Group President Han Dehong signed the agreement on behalf of their respective parties.
According to the agreement, both parties will carry out multidirectional cooperation in such fields as technology research and development, cooperative investment, construction and operation of water businesses (including municipal water supply & drainage and industrial water treatment), comprehensive treatment projects for the watershed environment of Shenzhen, sponge city business, black and odorous water body treatment and the healthcare industry. Both parties will spare no efforts to take part in the 'Great Battle for Water Treatment' in Shenzhen, constantly promoting the capacity for economic and social development and ecological civilization construction, and making more positive contributions to optimizing the urban water environment.
Before the signing ceremony, a friendly meeting was held between President Zhang Zhaoxiang and Executive Deputy Mayor Zhang Hu. Zhang Zhaoxiang pointed out that MCC is the world's largest metallurgical construction project contractor and iron and steel enterprise operation service provider. Its current new strategic positioning is to be the 'national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and pacesetter of emerging industries'. In recent years, MCC has successfully achieved a transformation, its operating performance indicators have risen against the trend, and urban comprehensive pipe galleries, beautiful village & smart city technology and other emerging industries, as well as traffic and municipal infrastructure construction, have become new mainstay businesses of the Group.
Zhang Zhaoxiang pointed out that, as a scientific research and design enterprise subordinate to MCC, MCC Huatian possesses very strong technical advantages in environmental energy, housing construction & municipal administration, healthcare real estate and other fields, and some aspects of its water environment treatment technology are unique in the industry. Moreover, relying on MCC Huatian’s scientific research and technology strength in water environment treatment, the healthcare industry and other fields, the MCC Group has set up the MCC Water Environment Technology Research Institute and MCC Healthcare Industry Technology Research Institute to contract water environment treatment for rivers, lakes and so on at home and abroad, sponge city technology projects and other business. The Group will give full play to the simple yet profound MCC spirit of 'Never delaying and never slacking' along with its own technological and funds advantages and business specialties, positively promote constantly deepening and expanding cooperation between both parties, realize mutual benefits and win-win results, and make more contributions to the ecological civilization construction and economic and social development of Shenzhen.
Zhang Hu hopes that MCC Huatian and the Shenzhen Water Group, as a central enterprise and a local enterprise, will give full play to their advantages in the R&D of water environment treatment technology and the investment, construction and operation of water environment projects. It is hoped that this alliance between giants and the complementing of each other's advantages can further realize a positive vision including 'preliminary results achieved within one year, waterlog eliminated within three years and standards comprehensively reached within five years, enabling its blue water and blue sky to jointly become a bright city card of Shenzhen within eight years', constantly perfect the urban water functions of the City, forge its urban water safety system and further guarantee and improve the livelihoods of the people.
In the afternoon of May 24th, Zhang Zhaoxiang and his delegation visited Nanshan District in Shenzhen for an informal discussion with the Company’s leading group concerning the development orientation, follow-up projects and regional market development situation of the Shenzhen MCC Pipe Gallery Company. Zhang Zhaoxiang affirmed the recent work of the Shenzhen MCC Pipe Gallery Company and pointed out that the urban comprehensive pipe gallery is a systematic pipe network which requires overall construction by an enterprise that integrates planning, construction, operation and other comprehensive functions. As a platform company of central enterprises, the Shenzhen MCC Pipe Gallery Company shall undertake the overall management functions of public infrastructure projects. The Group will conduct further communication with the Shenzhen Municipal Government in order to provide powerful support for the Shenzhen MCC Pipe Gallery Company to participate in urban comprehensive pipe gallery construction in Shenzhen.
