On January 20th, the MCC1 Group's Shenzhen Branch completed the Foundation Pit and Pile Foundation Project of the Liantang Port Inspection Building.
Located south of Luosha Road and north of Shenzhen River on Liantang Street, Luohu District, Shenzhen City, this project will be completed for use in 2018, mainly serving trans-boundary freight and passenger transport between Hong Kong and Shenzhen. Liantang Port will be the seventh land port between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and also an important port for building the significant pattern of 'east in and east out; west in and west out' between both cities. MCC1's Shenzhen Branch was responsible for its earthwork, foundation pit supporting, pile foundation engineering, temporary border patrol road, temporary road, etc. The amount of earthwork excavated was about 188,300m3, including about 46,000m3 of earthwork carried on-site and dried, and almost 142,000m3 earthwork carried outside. The pipe foundation used a total of 366 revolving digging cast-in-place bored piles with a diameter ranging from 1.2 to 1.8m and a depth of 18 to 30m.
