Soil Remediation Project at the Former Site of Hangzhou Iron and Steel Plant Park

The soil remediation project for the Hangzhou Iron and Steel Former Site Park, constructed by WISDRI, employs technologies such as thermal desorption, leaching, brick kiln co-processing, cement kiln co-processing, vertical and horizontal barrier treatment for different types of pollution. The project remediated a total of 124,000 m3 of contaminated soil, covering an area of 33,000 m2. It significantly improved the soil environment of the site, provided strong support for the construction of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal National Park and the China Grand Canal Cultural Belt, witnessed the transformation of an old industrial site into a new urban landmark, and promoted the protection of the Yangtze River.
