MCC's inspection team conducted structural inspections of the Tiananmen Tower’s foundation platform and the Huabiao pillars, which are iconic landmarks of the Tiananmen area. The Huabiao pillars and Tiananmen were constructed during the Yongle era of the Ming Dynasty, over 500 years ago. Each Huabiao pillar stands 9.57 m tall, has a diameter of 98 cm, and weighs approximately 20,000 kg. The pillars embody profound historical significance, encapsulating the essence of ancient and modern Chinese civilization. Alongside the majestic Tiananmen Tower, they represent masterpieces of traditional Chinese architecture and are among the first batch of nationally protected cultural relics.
