On December 9, Guo Wenqing, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Group of China Minmetals, and concurrently Chairman of MCC, met with Tao Changhai, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, and his delegation. They had an in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in related fields, advancing fixed-point poverty alleviation, and promoting high-quality economic and social development of Guizhou Province.
Guo Wenqing welcomed Tao Changhai and his delegation, and introduced the business development and fixed-point poverty alleviation work of China Minmetals and MCC in Guizhou. Guo Wenqing pointed out that China Minmetals and MCC attach great importance to the strategic cooperation with Guizhou Province, and have established long-term friendly cooperative relations with Guizhou in the fields such as municipal infrastructure construction, manganese ore production and smelting, trade and logistics, and real estate development. China Minmetals is the first state-owned capital investment company in the metal mining field. It has outstanding technology, talent and capital advantages in the fields including metal mining, metallurgy construction, trade and logistics, and financial services. He hoped that the two sides will establish a long-term and stable strategic cooperative partnership and promote all-round, multi-front and multi-dimensional cooperation.
Guo Wenqing stressed that the two sides should strengthen the alignment of development strategies to focus on big projects, promote big cooperation and achieve leaping development. We need to further strengthen cooperation and exchanges, explore cooperation opportunities, innovate cooperation methods, upgrade cooperation levels, expand cooperation outcomes and achieve mutual benefit and win-win result especially in the mineral resources development field. Next, China Minmetals will firmly take root in Guizhou to provide in-depth services, and actively promote Dejiang County and Yanhe County to get out of poverty on schedule so as to make greater contributions to the high-quality economic and social development of Guizhou.
Tao Changhai thanked Guo Wenqing for his warm reception and the contribution of China Minmetals to the economic and social development of Guizhou Province, especially the targeted poverty alleviation. He also reviewed the progress of cooperation between the two sides after the talk with General Manager Guo Wenqing last year. Tao Changhai pointed out that Guizhou Province is rich in mineral resources, and the reserve of manganese ore in Tongren is the first in Asia. The lead-zinc mine in Bijie is the first super large one in Guizhou with great potential of exploration. The People's Government of Guizhou Province welcomes the central enterprises including China Minmetals with rich mining development experience and outstanding scientific and technological advantages to engage in the exploration, development and operation of mineral resources in Guizhou Province, bringing mutual cooperation to a new level and new height.
The two sides also exchanged views on other topics of common interest, and designated relevant departments and personnel to conduct in-depth communication and matchmaking on the following work.
