On March 9th, MCC Group and MCC Party Standing Committee Member and MCC Vice President Wang Shilei visited Bayan Nur City Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor Zhang Xiaobing in Bayan Nur City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. Both parties carried out a friendly exchange and reached an extensive consensus in terms of jointly promoting project cooperation in such fields as traffic, municipal infrastructure, new town development and so on in Bayan Nur City.
Wang Shilei thanked Zhang Xiaobing for his warm reception and briefly introduced MCC Group’s development situation, pointing out that MCC Group is the largest and strongest metallurgical construction contractor and operation service provider among metallurgical enterprises globally. In recent years, it has carried out its new strategic positioning of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of hi-tech construction in the long term’, and has successfully realized transformation. Municipal transportation infrastructure, high-end housing construction, large stadiums, environmental engineering and urban underground comprehensive pipe galleries have become the Group’s new mainstay businesses. In 2016, the MCC Group had the honor of being named a Level A Enterprise in the 2015 operating performance assessment for principals of central enterprises, and it ranked 290th in the list of World Top 500 enterprises.
Wang Shilei pointed out that MCC Group and Inner Mongolia have a good cooperation foundation. In recent years, MCC Group has implemented a batch of major projects in Inner Mongolia, particularly the Tongliao-Lubei Expressway Project, and the cooperation between the two parties has gained good effects. MCC Group also pays close attention to the market development of Bayan Nur City, is willing to give full play to its strong advantages in whole industry chain services and full life circle, and make further positive contributions to the economic and social development of Bayan Nur City.
Zhang Xiaobing welcomed Wang Shilei and his delegation, and briefly introduced the basic situation of Bayan Nur City. He fully affirmed MCC Group’s performance and brand, expressed a hope that MCC Group will give further play to its advantages in such fields as talents, technology, management and funds, strengthen communication between both parties and quicken project landing; he also suggested that both parties should set up a project promotion group to carry out all the preparatory work of the projects.
After the meeting, in the company of Bayan Nur City Deputy Mayor Du Cun and principals of relevant departments in the Municipal Government, Wang Shilei and his delegation conducted an on-the-spot survey at the site of the commercial complexes in Shuanghe District. After the investigation, both parties conducted a thorough exchange in terms of cooperation in such fields as national and provincial mainlines, high-speed rail stations and associated work in station yards, the integrated development of Shuanghe District, comprehensive pipe galleries and so on, confirming the key emphasis of the work of the next step.
