On December 21st, MCC President Zhang Mengxing visited Dubai EmaratDzayerVice President Ajay Sethi. They heldadeep discussion concerningdeepening the metallurgical industry, high-end building and transportation infrastructure construction, and propelling the construction of theAlgeria EDS steel factory, railwaysand highways, and came to an agreement.
Zhang Mengxing welcomed Mr. Ajay Sethi and briefly introduced the basic information of the MCC Group, pointing out that MCC is the biggest and strongest metallurgical construction contractor and operation service provider in the world. In 2016, theGroup ranked 290thinthe Top 500 Enterprises and 8th in the Top 250 Global Contractorsreleased by ENR. MCC has also undertaken the planning, reconnaissance, design and construction of more than 90% of domestic steel projects and more than 60% worldwide. It constructed the 10million-tonVietnamHa TinhSteel Foundation Project, the Indian TATA Steel KPO Steel Factory5,870m3Blast Furnace Projectwhich remains thebiggest blast furnace in the world, the 3.5 million t/yChina-MalaysiaKuantanIndustrial ParkSteel Project, the 800,000 t/yArdakanElectric Furnace Steelmaking and Continuous Casting Project inIran, and the Baosteel ZhanjiangSteel Foundation Project. MCC is a real national teamof Chinese metallurgical construction. The Group spent three years completing the most advanced Baosteel Zhanjiang Steel Foundation Project that has been generating profits since being put intooperation in 2015. Thisproject was named a ChinaModern Industry Demonstration Project by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of Chinafor representing the highest level of China's steel industry. The MCC Group pays closeattention to science and technology, and possesses 13 scientific research and design units, 53,000 scientific research and design workers, 17 national R&D centers and key laboratories, and more than 18,000 patents in force, rankingfourth among central enterprises. Itwas also responsible for compiling 155 national standards. In recent years, MCC has achieved asuccessful transition, and secured outstanding performance and obvious advantages in high-end building construction, large gymnasiums, municipal transportation infrastructure and emerging industries.
Zhang Mengxing emphasized that MCC has actively explored overseas markets, worked with 48 countries, established more than 100 administrative bodies abroad, completed many key projects in Africa, West Asia, Southeast Asia, Central Asiaand Europe, and built many industry and civil construction projects such as the Oran Stadium, more than one thousand national affordable dwellings and Seegers cement mill. He hopesthat both parties willstrengthen their communication. MCC is willing to use its own experience and advantages in capital, technologyand management to deepen cooperation with EmaratDzayer in Algeria's metallurgical industry, high-end building and transportation infrastructure construction, etc.
Ajay Sethi thanked President Zhang Mengxing for his warmreceptionand briefly introduced EmaratDzayer, pointing out that the headquarters of EmaratDzayerare located in Dubai, and its investment and operation range is very wide, including real estate, transportation infrastructure, sports, entertainmentandmedia. EmaratDzayer has projects in Dubai, India, Algeriaand so on, and is currently conducting the activeexploitationof the Algeria market. The company wishes to work with the strongMCC Group in the construction of theAlgeria EDS steel factory, highways, railways and so on.
