On May 30th, MCC Party Standing Committee Member and Vice President Zhang Mengxing met Shenzhen Yantian District Mayor Wu Delin and his delegation at the MCC Mansion. Both parties held a friendly exchange concerning firmly promoting cooperation in the headquarter's economy, infrastructure, municipal underground comprehensive pipe galleries, real estate development and other fields according to the spirit of the talks between China Minerals General Manager and Party Committee Deputy Secretary and MCC President and Party Committee Secretary Guo Wenqing and Guangdong Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Shenzhen Municipal Party Secretary Ma Xingrui.
Zhang Mengxing welcomed District Mayor Wu Delin and his delegation and briefly introduced MCC’s historic evolution and current development situation, pointing out that, as the world's largest metallurgical construction and operation service provider, MCC is the steel structure manufacturer with the largest capacity in China and one of the first batch of 16 central enterprises with real estate development as its main business to be confirmed by SASAC. In the face of the advantageous development situation in the metallurgical industry, the MCC Group has successfully realized a transformation, and traffic and municipal infrastructure, high-end housing construction, large-scale gymnasiums, garbage incineration power generation, wastewater treatment, urban underground comprehensive pipe galleries, theme parks and more have become the Group’s new mainstay businesses. At present, MCC’s new strategic positioning is to be the 'national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries'.
Zhang Mengxing went on to point out that, as the earliest central enterprise to take part in the development and construction of Shenzhen, MCC created the famous 'Speed of Shenzhen', paid close attention to the market development in Shenzhen City, established the MCC South China Company which especially serves the economic development of Shenzhen and participated in the investment and construction of major projects in Shenzhen City, signed a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with the Shenzhen Municipal Government and set up Shenzhen MCC Pipe Gallery Construction Investment Co., Ltd. as a joint venture. The MCC Group is willing to make greater contributions to the social and economic development of Yantian District, Shenzhen City.
Wu Delin thanked Vice President Zhang Mengxing for his warm reception and briefly introduced the industrial transformation and upgrading of Yantian District and the progress made thus far in the 'Look East Strategy' in Shenzhen City. Wu Delin hopes that the MCC Group will make full use of the favorable environment of Yantian District and implement its headquarters in the region. He also expressed that the Yantian District Government will positively strengthen its cooperation with MCC in restoring Yantian Meisha Port, urban underground comprehensive pipe galleries, garbage disposal, wastewater treatment and other fields.
