On March 18th, MCC General Manager and President Zhang Zhaoxiang met Municipal Party Committee Deputy Secretary and Mayor of Anyang City Wang Xinwei and his delegation. They held an in-depth exchange of opinions concerning cooperation in urban transportation infrastructure, industrial technology upgrading, integrated pipe galleries, water system control, waste incineration power generation, indemnificatory housing, shantytown transformation and other projects.
Zhang Zhaoxiang first welcomed Mayor Wang Xinwei and his delegation and briefly introduced the basic information of MCC, pointing out that the Group has established a profound metallurgical relationship and a long-term partnership with Anyang City. In recent years, in the face of the unfavorable development tendency of the ferrous metallurgical industry, MCC has succeeded in transforming itself, and has now adopted the new strategic positioning of becoming the 'National Team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacemaker of emerging industries' under the new normal of economic development. As the world’s largest metallurgical project contractor and steel enterprise operation service provider, MCC continues to successfully conduct sophisticated steel industry projects, including steel plant construction projects in Ha Tinh of Vietnam, Kuantan of Malaysia and other foreign cities, and has completed many projects involving urban integrated pipe galleries, sponge cities, beautiful villages, smart cities, environmental protection, transportation infrastructure, theme parks and other emerging industries that have become the new pillar industries of the Group. MCC is willing to give full play to its technical, capital and business advantages and tightly seize this favorable chance for great development, according to the 'Thirteenth Five-Year Plan' of the Anyang Municipal Government, by accelerating in-depth project cooperation and implementation.
Mayor Wang Xinwei expressed his gratitude for President Zhang Zhaoxiang’s reception and gave a brief introduction of Anyang City’s basic information and future development planning, pointing out that Anyang City, as both a 'comprehensive transportation junction' of Central China and one of the 'Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei synergetic development cities', possesses superior cultural tourism, transportation, location and industrial basis, providing huge development spaces and abundant potential. He hopes that MCC will develop a cooperation relationship with Anyang City, based on its own technical and capital advantages, in various areas including transportation infrastructure construction, industrial technology upgrading, waste incineration power generation, shantytown transformation and manufacturing and R&D in the steel structure industry, thereby promoting Anyang’s industrial level, facilitating the upgrading and transformation of its industrial structure, building a regional central city with strong comprehensive competitiveness, and realizing the beautiful 'Anyang Dream'.
