On December 31st, 2016, MCC17 signed a contract for the Liangshan Prefecture Yuexi County 2017 Poverty Alleviation and Problem Solving Project in Sichuan Province.

Located in Yuexi County and covering 23 townships including Dahua, Yuexi County 2017 Poverty Alleviation and Problem Solving Project mainly consists of poverty relief and relocation for poverty alleviation and problem solving, and the construction of resettlement housing for Yi Nationality households in new villages. The matched public service and infrastructure construction include village-level activity sites, a village clinic, village cultural urban and rural preschool education sites, roads connecting groups and households, etc. The construction period is 6 months. The project will commence on January 20th, 2017. Yuexi County is located in the southwest of Sichuan Province. In September 2016, it was approved as a national key ecological function zone by the State Council.
