On March 28th, MCC Group General Manager and Party Secretary Zhang Zhaoxiang meets Lu’an Standing Committee Member and United Front Work Department Minister Wang Qi and delegation. Both sides held a deep discussion concerning cooperation on theme parks, municipal transportation infrastructure and mineral exploitation.
Zhang Zhaoxiang first introduced the general information of the MCC Group, pointing out that it is the world's largest and most powerful metallurgical engineering construction contractor and metallurgical operating service provider, ranking 290th in the Fortune 500. In 2016, following its strategic recombination with MCC, CMC was approved by the State Council as part of the second batch of state-owned capital investment companies, and it is committed to creating a ‘First in China and first-class in the world’ metal mineral enterprise group. In recent years, actively practicing the strategic positioning of being the ‘national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of capital construction and the pacesetter of emerging industries, insisting on taking the road of high-tech construction in the long term’, MCC has successfully transitioned to non-steel fields, secured proud attainments in such fields as high-end housing construction, underground utility pipe galleries, beautiful villages, smart city and sponge city technology, and theme parks, and completed a number of large emerging industry projects. Particularly in the field of theme parks, MCC is the only enterprise in China to hold the theme park construction qualification, and has successfully completed such projects as Universal Studios Singapore, Shanghai Disney Resort, Zhuhai Chimelong Ocean Kingdom and other large-scale cultural theme parks. At present, Nanjing Dragon Nest Theme Park, Huaian ‘Journey to the West’ Theme Park, Universal Studios Beijing and others are under construction.
Zhang Zhaoxiang emphasized that the MCC Group pays close attention to the market development of Anhui. At present, its two subsidiaries MCC17 Group and MCC Huatian are rooted in Anhui, and they have signed contracts for projects in such fields as municipal infrastructure, security housing construction and the exploitation of mineral resources. MCC is willing to further make use of its own advantages in design, construction, scientific research, operations and capital to make greater contributions to the economic and social development of Lu'an.
Wang Qi said that the MCC Group is a large central enterprise and a backbone of the national economy. In recent years, its transformation development has been very successful. He pointed out that as a central city in the Dabie Mountain area, Lu’an enjoys rapid economic development and vigorously implements the strategy of attractive investment on the subject of scientific development as the main line of its overall transformation, spanning and rising, thereby becoming a strong and wealthy city. He welcomes MCC to Lu'an to engage in field studies and project cooperation.
