On October 26th, MCC WSGRI won the bidding for the China Southern Power Grid Peak and Frequency Adjustment Power Generation Company[A1] ’s Hydraulic Power Plant Simulation Training Platform (based on VR technology) Research and Development Project Subject-Topic Project, which involves the construction of a CAVE virtual overhauling simulation platform.
This is the largest project among the domestic power industry simulation projects that MCC WSGRI has bid for and won so far. It will lay a solid foundation for related industry project cooperation between MCC WSGRI and China Southern Power Grid, as well as other partners in the future, standing as a millstone for the Company to open such emerging markets as VR technology.
The total construction period of China Southern Power Grid Peak and Frequency Adjustment Power Generation Company’s ‘Hydraulic Power Plant Simulation Training Platform (based on VR technology) Research and Development’ Science and Technology Project is 3 years. MCC WSGRI’s contracted Hydraulic Power Plant CAVE Virtual Overhauling Simulation Platform Building Project includes three parts: the software platform, hardware configuration and application content development service. Through setting up a CAVE virtual overhauling simulation platform, the project will be able to load the device model system, realize VR interaction function, hydraulic power plant scene exploration, device X-Ray wandering, virtual device dismantling, installation, overhauling and other functions, while providing decision-making assistance for the overhaul of the training venue and a brand-new profound experience and highly stimulating learning experience for training students, thus providing a brand-new way for the China Southern Power Grid Peak and Frequency Adjustment Power Generation Company to carry out its training work.
