On November 30th, Algerian Ministry of Sports Minister Ali led a congressional delegation (over 30 people) to inspect the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Phase I and II Project undertaken by the MCC22 Group. Oran Province Governor Murud also attended the inspection.
Minister Ali and his delegation entered the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium project site in the rain and deeply inspected the stadium Phase I and II project, the auxiliary project of main stadium, and new site for Phase II project construction. During the inspection, they listened to the project principal’s detailed explanation and report on the construction progress, general plan of phase II, deepening design progress and other matters.
At present, 80% of the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Phase I Project has been completed and it is beginning to take shape. Minister Ali and his delegation admired the spectacular stadium, highly praised the construction speed and project quality, and thanked the MCC constructors for their contributions. During the inspection at the new site of the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Phase II Project, Minister Ali and his delegation praised the bright and spacious office, and comfortable living and entertainment areas, highly affirmed MCC’s standardization construction image and excellent project brand, and said that MCC deserves its reputation as a Chinese enterprise of first-class image and strength. They were fully reassured about MCC constructing their projects. After the inspection, Minister Ali shook hands with the project’s principals, thanked the MCC constructors for their huge contributions to the people of Algeria again and expressed his hope that they will make persistent efforts, smoothly complete the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Project and further promote deep cooperation between China and Algeria, and the long-term development of the friendship between the two countries.
Located in the Economic Technology Development Zone in the eastern suburbs of Oran City, Oran Province, Algeria, the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Phase I Project covers a land area of 290,000 m2 and a total building area of about 59,000 m2, and includes a multifunctional main stadium with 40,000 seats, football training court with 4,000 seats and auxiliary projects, outdoor fields and other buildings. The main stadium has a building area of 56,100 m2. The auxiliary project of the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Phase I Project, Phase II includes an aquatics center, complex stadium with 6,000 seats and the design, purchasing and construction of relevant peripheral engineering. Upon completion, it will become the landmark of Oran Province together with the Oran 40,000-seat Stadium Phase I project, the largest and most modern multifunctional complex stadium in the province and the whole western region, and the main venue for Algeria to undertake the 2021 Mediterranean Games and present itself to the world.
