Sewage Treatment Plant Commissioned by HTC in Shouguang

Chengbei Sewage Treatment Plant was officially commissioned in Shouguang, Shandong Province on December 28, 2009. The plant was built by Huatian Engineering & Technology Corporation of MCC (HTC) on BOT basis. Mayor Zhu Lanxi and his deputy Nie Zuokun of Shouguang Municipal Government graced the entire commissioning ceremony.
The HTC team reported to the mayor on its overall performances on the project. Zhu put forward recommendations on the operation of the sewage plant as well as the reutilization of the treated sewage. He pointed out that, as one of the main services for energy reservation and emission reduction in the city, the new facility should be established into a “garden” plant. In addition, he also outlined the planning of the 2nd Phase Project of the Sewage Treatment Plant.
The RMB 65 million yuan worth plant is designed with a daily treatment capacity of 100,000 tons. Under the 1st Phase, the daily capacity is 50,000 tons, and the quality of disposed water shall be qualified in terms of Grade I (B) Standard. The main function of this facility is to make disposal on partial sewage generated in the High-Tech Industrial Park, and thus reduce the operational pressure of the urban sewage treatment plant.
The works was started on July 24, 2009. And its completion is of great significance for enhancing sewage treatment capability of the city, improving the working and living environment of the citizens and accelerating the urban construction of Shouguang City.
