An inauguration ceremony was held On December 24, 2009 for commissioning of the Sewage Treatment Plant of Dangtu County, which is under trusteeship management by Huatian Engineering & Technology Corporation of MCC (HTC). This facility is one of the key projects financed by national debts, with a total investment of over RMB 70 million yuan and al designed daily sewage treatment capability of 60,000 tons (under the 1st phase, the daily output is 30,000 tons). For this works, the CAST technical process was employed. The completion and inauguration of the plant will play an essential role in: (i) protection of drinking water resources in Yangtze River; (ii) optimization of investment environment in Dangtu County; (iii) guarantee of public health of the local people; and (iv) promotion of coordinated economic and social development. The trusteeship commissioning and operation management agreement on the Sewage Treatment Plant was inked between HTC and Dangtu County Government on November 28, 2009.
Chief Accountant Li Debin of HTC stated that, HTC would shoulder the social responsibility as a central enterprise, and strive to: (i) make sound operation and management on the plant; (ii) secure the stabilization of the technical process and smooth operation; (iii) keep the water quality to comply with the specifications; (Iv) undertake standardized management on the plant; and (v) contribute to the environmental protection undertakings of Dangtu County. Meanwhile, HTC would further strengthen the collaboration with the county government and participate the urban infrastructure construction of the county, with a target to set a good example for cooperation between central enterprise and local government.
