A groundbreaking ceremony was convened for No. 3 blast-furnace hot blast stove of Nanjing Steel Works in its new plant area on December 21, 2009.Contracted by China First Metallurgical Construction Corporation (CFMCC), this works is the first one for CFMCC after 4 years when it completed the last project in Nanjing building market. The new contracted facility consists of: the hot blast stove system; dust collection device for casting house; blast furnace gas purification system; TRT system (including the TRT building); road and comprehensive pipeline in the project area. As per the contract, the hot blast stove shall be completed for commissioning on September 1, 2010.
