Several fire disasters have taken place recently in China and Wuhan City. To avoid various fire accidents, Wuhan Surveying-Geotechnical Research Institute Co. of MCC Group (WSGRI) organized a fire drill on August 18, 2009. Over 40 employees took part in the drill.
During the practice, Wu Jianhua, a professional from Safety Production Supervision Dept., briefed the methods for alarming and emergency evacuation, and made a detailed introduction to operating principle and utilization method of dry-chemical fire extinguisher, as well as the installation and utilization methods of fire hydrant. Wu also conducted an on-the-spot demonstration. The trainees learned carefully and operated the facilities on the site. And they finally acquired a full understanding on the utilization methods of various fireproofing facilities and the firefighting safety knowledge. On this ground, they could undertake prompt disposals on emergencies with enhanced capabilities for prevention of fire and safety precaution.
