HTC Inspects Safety in Production

On August 17, 2009, a Safety Inspection Team of Huatian Engineering & Technology Corporation of MCC (HTC) conducted an inspection visit to the water business subsidiaries in Chuzhou and Tianchang. The team members investigated in various working sections. Overall and detailed inspection on safety work was carried out for important areas such as the high/low switching house, central control room, biological process pond, dewatering room and laboratory. Various prevention measures were also been checked for fireproofing, lightning protection, poison resistance and burglar alarming system. In view of that several safety accidents have taken placed in the other domestic sewage treatment plant, a safety conference was convened basing upon the results of this inspection visit. With regard to the relevant detected problems, the reasons were analyzed and summarized. On this basis, the countermeasures and instructive comments have been worked out, and the subsidiaries have been requested to put them into implementation.
Since the commissioning of the subsidiaries in Chuzhou and Changtian, safety work in production has been attached with great importance adhering to the principle of “Safety and prevention first”. Up to now, no safety accidents have ever happed, and perfect economic and social benefits have been achieved in these plants.
