The Sum-up Conference for the 26th Summer Universiade, which was held in Shenzhen of Guangdong Province, was grandly convened on September 30, 2011, at the Main Stadium of Universiade Center, which was contracted by Shanghai Baoye Construction Group (SBC-MCC Group) on an EPC basis. Secretary Wang Yang of CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, Governor Huang Huahua of Guangdong Provincial Government, and Secretary Wang Rong of CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, as well as over 1,000 Universiade participants from all walks of life, were present at the meeting.
The Sum-up Conference marks a remarkable function transformation of the stadiums built up for Universiade. Some of the competition gymnasiums and stadiums have been transformed into venues for public gathering and activities. The Gymnastics Warm-up Stadium has been opened up to the public, and the Ice-sports Warm-up Stadium will soon turn out to be the second opening-up stadiums in the Universiade Center, symbolizing an outstanding diversification and operational function of these sport venues.
